COVID Safe Practices

Waku Space Response to COVID-19

At Waku Space, we consider the health and wellbeing of our members, guests and staff our highest priority. We are open as usual and will do everything to support & protect members who are choosing to access Waku Space during this time.

We continue to follow the advice from the Australian Government Department of Health, taking additional precautionary measures to minimise the risk of coronavirus (COVID-19) in our workspace. Our workspace remains open.

For context, under normal pre-COVID 19 circumstances, Waku Space operates the workspace at around 1 person per 10m2 on average when full. This is well within the guidelines of density and therefore the below measures are relating to an increased cleaning regime, placement of furniture and the distribution of members in common areas.

Safety measures across Waku Space

We are implementing a range of measures across Waku Space to ensure members, guests, and staff are kept safe. These measures include but are not limited to the below:

  • Physical Distancing – Limits have been placed on the number of people allowed within certain areas of the clubs

  • Handwashing & Hygiene – Adequate handwash and sanitiser has been placed around each club

  • Cleaning – High touch areas and surfaces are cleaned on an hourly basis with disinfectant

  • Facemasks – All members, staff and guests are required to wear facemasks within the common areas of the club. From the Monday after ACT hits 80% double vaccinations, masks will become optional.
